Base Support Officer
Job Summary
The Department of Defence is seeking a motivated and experienced Base Support Officer to join its team. This role will be responsible for providing administrative support to the APS 5 level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead engagement with stakeholders, customers and contractors to ensure efficient delivery of services across the base.
* Have an interest in departmental business and deliverables, showing a degree of initiative and judgement in the interpretation and application of policy.
* Work collaboratively with Defence enablers to enhance service delivery.
* Represent and be involved with the department at various base forums, and take part in solutions and management strategies to whole-of-base operational issues.
* Participate in the design and development of base plans, and base activities relating to WHS, security, emergency and base management.

* Genuine enthusiasm and willingness to learn and apply Defence's Estate legislative obligations, related policies, processes and systems
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
