Leveraging Levy Australia’s cutting-edge, guest-centric approach you will be tasked with delivering legendary experiences for the up to three million guests to hundreds of events the park welcomes each year, including the world’s biggest tennis tournament, the Australian Open. Fast paced, and no two days the same.
As an operations assistant you will be at the centre of our new partnership with Melbourne & Olympic Parks (M&OP).
1. Play a key role in orchestrating major sporting competitions and entertainment events.
2. Provide administration support to the logistics department.
3. Work with a dedicated team of logistics and operations professionals to ensure an excellent overall guest experience.

THE POSITION
4. Assist with concourse set up and breakdown for all events.
5. Assist operational staff and vendors as needed.
6. Help oversee facility vendors providing security and other facility-related services.
7. Performing inventory management and stock control, when required
8. Support the operational manager on tasks and projects when required.
9. Work closely with the logistics and operations team to ensure all events are delivered and closed off seamlessly.

THE PERSON
11. Proven experience in coordinating event logistics, including venue setup, staffing coordination, equipment management, and transportation logistics, ideally within a fast-paced sports or entertainment environment.
12. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with internal departments, external vendors, and event organisers.
13. Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and troubleshoot operational challenges.
14. Strategic problem-solving skills and resourcefulness to resolve issues and maintain operational continuity during events.
15. Experience or interest in facility management, event management or logistics.
16. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
17. A positive attitude and love for events and sports.
