We are looking for a friendly and proactive Medical Receptionist/Secretary with good typing skills to join our surgical practice on a permanent part time/full time basis.
Previous experience in medical reception/secretarial (even a minimum of one year of GP experience is appropriate) is essential for this role.
You love making a difference to our patients lives, providing an empathetic and warm environment during their health care journey and love to learn and upskill to meet practice standards.
You also pride yourself on your high attention to detail.
Certificate in Administration or equivalent experience.
Position Summary : As Dr Robinson's Medical Secretary, you will be representing the practice as the first point of contact for patients and other health care facilities.
You will be responsible for positively shaping the interaction that patients and other health care providers and support services have with the practice, ensuring that you provide excellent service through all means of communication.
You will also look after a range of administrative duties to ensure the smooth operations of the practice while supporting the Dr Robinson and the Practice Manager.
Key Requirements : Excellent written and verbal communication skills One to two years minimum experience as a Medical Receptionist in a similar environment (experience in Specialist rooms advantageous but not essential), if you have GP experience please apply (we are happy to train) Experience liaising with Doctors, staff and patients (including having a warm and respectful manner when interacting with staff, patients and all medical professionals) Prior experience with medical software with strong computer/IT (including troubleshooting) skills and Gentu experience (or similar medical software) Typing speed (minimum ***** words per minute) Your patient care skills are only second to your attention to detail skills Experience and ability to meet deadlines – fast turnaround of letters.
