888 Traffic are hiring a Traffic Management Operations Assistant.
The Operations Assistant supports the daily coordination and administration of traffic management services, ensuring jobs are correctly resourced, compliant, and delivered efficiently.
This role acts as a key link between clients, field staff, and internal systems.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Scheduling
* Receive and schedule job bookings from clients via phone and email
* Allocate appropriate staffing and equipment in line with approved Traffic Guidance Schemes (TGS)
* Ensure all required permits, MOAs, and documentation are in place prior to job commencement
* Liaise with clients to confirm job requirements, timings, and any operational changes
Recruitment & Onboarding Support
* Advertise vacancies through recruitment platforms (e.g. Seek)
* Screen resumes to verify required qualifications and certifications
* Conduct initial phone interviews with candidates
* Issue employment packs and ensure all onboarding paperwork is completed accurately and returned
System & Administrative Support
* Enter job details, staff allocations, and equipment usage into the system for record keeping
* Update job notes, including staff changes and operational variations
* Maintain accurate daily and historical job records
Fleet & Equipment Coordination
* Oversee yard operations and vehicle readiness
* Ensure company vehicles are fully stocked with traffic management equipment
* Check signage for correct order, condition, and compliance
* Monitor vehicle servicing schedules
* Prepare and assemble signage for specific job requirements
