LEVEL CROSSING REMOVAL PROJECT
**About the role**
We're not just about removing - we're building, we're connecting, we're revitalising, and the Project Delivery team at LXRP are busier than ever. As such, we need an experienced document Controller to join our team at our Western Program Alliance based in Footscray
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Document Controller is responsible for accurate management of documents prepared and received by the project teams, contractors, and client groups to support the day-to-day operations of the project. This can include, but is not limited to, engineering/technical reports, tender evaluation documentation, contracts, correspondence, and project management files.
This role will lead the project teams in implementing and maintaining efficient and effective records and document management systems and procedures that will meet best practice requirements. This role requires a strong ability to work independently in a complex and fast-paced project environment.
The Document Controller role is a 3-year fixed term contract, paying between $90,067 - $102,192 plus superannuation. We have a hybrid working policy that allows you to work a mix of from home and in the office located in Footscray.

We are looking for someone who is an experienced document controller as well as an effective communicator how can build and maintain relationships with our stakeholders.
Let's get technical What will we expect from you?
- Control all aspects of the process, transmittal, and storage of project documentation on multiple simultaneous projects, utilising various control methods/systems.
- Assist with communication and documentation flow protocols between project teams, ensuring information is in the most appropriate format for multiple platforms, adapting where necessary to ensure compatibility.
- Create and maintain an electronic filing system that supports efficient information management.
- Work closely with project teams to fully understand business needs with the aim of ensuring the best possible document control framework is effectively used to aid compliance, consistency, and document control across LXRP.
- Produce and maintain Document Progress Reports to Project Managers.
- Work in co-operation with the Project Manager and Engineering Manager to ensure project progress status integration.
- Promote the use of correct document and information management processes and procedures, providing training to team members where required, and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Manage and maintain LXRP's internal electronic records and document management databases, repositories and filing systems, checking compliance with structures and naming conventions on a regular basis.
- Play a key role in the implementation, operation, and maintenance of the LXRP's web-based systems, Team Binder, and SharePoint.
- Experience in the development and maintenance of document and information management systems and procedures within a government or major infrastructure project environment.
- Experience with document control practices and protocols for engineering documents during design, construction, and project completion.
- Experience in web-based Information Exchange systems such as Team Binder, and collaborative software such as SharePoint, is highly desirable.
