Beacon Legal have partnered with a key client in the energy and infrastructure space in their search for a new Company Secretary. They are looking to hire someone with 5-15 years' experience, to be based in their Melbourne office.
We're seeking a proactive and detail-oriented company secretarial professional to support a growing Legal, Compliance and Risk function. This role offers the opportunity to work across corporate governance, ASIC compliance and entity management matters, supporting both Australian operations and liaising with a broader regional team. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, including the General Counsel and executive leadership.

About the Role
* Manage and oversee the company's Australian corporate entities, ensuring compliance with governance and regulatory requirements.
* Support the preparation, coordination and administration of board and shareholder meetings, including agendas, papers and minutes.
* Lead ASIC compliance and statutory lodgements, ensuring all obligations are met accurately and on time.
* Maintain corporate records, registers and key governance documentation.
* Provide advice and support to internal stakeholders on corporate governance matters and access to company information.
* Coordinate annual compliance activities and ongoing corporate maintenance requirements.
* Liaise with external advisers and group-level company secretarial teams as required.
* Support the broader Legal, Compliance and Risk team on governance, reporting and related initiatives.
What type of person will be successful?
* Recognised qualification in corporate secretarial studies, law, or a related discipline.
* Minimum
5 years' experience
in a company secretarial or corporate governance role.
* Strong understanding of Australian corporate law, governance and compliance obligations.
* High level of integrity, discretion and sound professional judgement.
* Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timeframes.
* Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
* Experience with entity management or corporate governance software (desirable).
* Exposure to complex or cross-border corporate structures (desirable).
