**The Austn Health Intesnive Care Unit is a 29 bed unit with 25 ICU equivalent beds funded. We provide the state-wide and Tasmanian specialty service for liver transplant, fulminant liver failure and spinal cord injuries. In addition to this we are also specialists in cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, general medical, surgery and obstetrics ICU care. ICU also provides a ward support service via the Critical Care Outreach Team.**
**Details of position/position requirements**:
**This is a senior administrative position responsible for the support to the ICU Medical Director and Nurse Unit Manager.**
**The purpose of the position is to ensure adminstrative activities are carried out timely, effciently and effectively, guaranteeing tthe quality and performance of the service by**:
- **Performing role specific activities supporting adherence to current policies and procedures.**:
- **Supporting the ICU leadership team in achieving complicance of internal and external KPIs by delivering relevant reports.**:
- **Performing administrtative activities and and forward planning, supporting ICU short and long-term operations.**:
- **Being part of actively fostering a positive team culture.**:
- **Identifying and escalating risks and on some occasions recommending solutions.**
**Essential knowlege and skills**:
- **Undertaking Certificate/Diploma level in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework or equivilant.**:
- **Administrative Training with 2 years experience or equivilant work experience of 3 years.**:
- **Advanced Microsoft skills (Excel, Word, Outlook and Power Point).**:
- **Advanced time management skills.**:
- **Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.**:
- **Ability to work autonomously, to be self-directed and motivate.**:
- **Ability to work as an effective member of a highly qualified multidisciplinary team.**
