About the Role
This is a Full Time fixed term (maternity leave cover) position at 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE) within the Medical Imaging Department until the 21st May 2027. The role is classified at AO21 - Administration Officer Grade 2 Level 1 under Award 10 - Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement. We are seeking a highly enthusiastic, team oriented and experienced Administrator to join the Clerical Team. You will be responsible for the coordination and management of patient bookings for Medical Imaging including X‐Ray, Ultrasound, Computed Tomography (CT), Fluoroscopy, Nuclear Medicine, Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Magnetic Resonance Positron Emission Tomography (MR PET).
What you'll achieve
* You will work as part of a clerical team that rotates through front reception and a back‐of‐house clerical office.
* You will make patient bookings and complete general administrative tasks to ensure timely access to medical care of RCH patients.
* You will answer telephone and email enquiries.
* You will distribute reports and imaging to external referring clinicians.
* You will electronically import and export imaging.
Your skills and experience
* Experience using health computer applications including referral management systems, electronic medical records and patient demographic systems.
* Demonstrated experience in a dynamic, fast‐paced administration role preferably within the health sector.
* Demonstrated commitment to providing quality service to patients and families.
