Mater Hospital Brisbane is seeking a dedicated Administration Officer to join the Endoscopy Bookings Team in a full‑time, permanent position. The role is based at our South Brisbane campus and supports a high‑volume, fast‑paced clinical environment, coordinating endoscopy procedures for public patients and ensuring efficient use of theatre resources.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinating endoscopy bookings, scheduling, amendments and confirmations.
* Managing patient communication via phone and email in a professional and compassionate manner.
* Processing cancellations and replacement cases to maintain full theatre utilisation.
* Performing accurate data entry, filing, scanning and record maintenance.
* Preparing and managing documentation and correspondence.
* Supporting operational efficiency through timely task completion and attention to detail.
* Working closely with senior administration staff, clinicians and managers to meet service targets.
About You
You are a reliable and organised administration professional who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and is passionate about delivering exceptional service.
* Previous experience in an administration role (healthcare experience highly regarded).
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a patient‑centred approach.
* The ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight timeframes.
* High attention to detail with strong data entry and record‑keeping skills.
* Confidence using Microsoft Office and the ability to learn health information systems.
* A calm, positive and adaptable approach in a high‑volume, time‑sensitive setting.
