Atheadspace Dandenong, we’re all about making a difference in the lives of young people aged 12–25. Our centre is a vibrant, inclusive, and safe space where young people can access support for their physical and mental health, alcohol and other drugs, and work and study needs. Your role, your impact
As our Administration Officer, you’ll be the welcoming face of headspace Dandenong. You’ll play a vital role in supporting young people and their families, ensuring our Youth Health Clinic and centre run smoothly and professionally. Your work will help create a safe, approachable, and supportive environment for every young person who walks through our doors.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage reception and medical administration for the Youth Health Clinic, including client arrivals, Medicare details, and appointment bookings.
- Own the first point of contact experience—greeting visitors, answering calls, and responding to queries with warmth and professionalism.
- Create and maintain accurate medical records and client data in our systems.
- Support clinicians, GPs, and nurses with a range of administrative tasks.
- Coordinate room bookings and keep communal spaces welcoming and organised.
- Assist with onboarding and training current staff in admin procedures and systems.
- Demonstrate initiative by seeking guidance and clarifying processes when needed.
Who we’re looking for
- Experience inmedical administration (essential), ideally in a health or youth-focused setting.
- Passion for working with young people—demonstrated through experience or your ability to connect and communicate with them.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Confident with Microsoft Office and able to learn new systems quickly.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, tact, and diplomacy at all times.
