Overview

Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. It is a major provider of health services to people in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, offering ambulatory, inpatient and home and community-based services. Subject to final approval on 1 January 2026, Alfred Health will merge with Kooweerup Regional Health Service, Peninsula Health, Bass Coast Health and Gippsland Southern Health Service to form Bayside Health, a merged health service with more than 22,000 employees serving a community of over 1.2 million Victorians. The merger aims to provide the best possible care with strengthened training, education and career opportunities. All employees from the five health services will transfer to Bayside Health, subject to approval.

The Allied Health Education and Training Pillar seeks to strategically lead and model scoping, design, development, implementation and evaluation of sustainable education resources, that are shared across our diverse workforce. This pillar also aims to drive health professions education research, or the ‘science’ of education, to identify optimal teaching methods, curricula, and assessment strategies.

About The Role

To provide high quality and efficient secretarial and clerical support to Allied Health Education. The position is responsible for the administrative processes with the Undergraduate & Graduate Programmes, Post-graduate Education and Continuing Professional Development.

About You

- Demonstrated competency as an administration assistant in a work environment where judgement, initiative, confidentiality and organisational skills are required.
- Previous experience in an education or healthcare organisation advantageous.
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills / data entry are necessary
- Extensive demonstrated experience with:
- Microsoft 365 applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive, Teams, Stream, Forms
- SharePoint including site management, editing and updating
- REDCap

- Demonstrated competency in customer service and/or reception duties.
- Relevant administration course or working towards same
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload within time constraints
- Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic team environment
