The Role
We are seeking an experienced Accounting, Purchasing & Administration Officer to support our client at the forefront of sustainable manufacturing and zero-emissions technology.
Based at a state-of-the-art R&D facility in Melbourne's inner west, this role plays a key part in supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing team working on innovative technologies. There is an initial 6-month fixed-term contract available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to the CEO and wider team
* Support purchasing activities including supplier liaison, quotations, purchase orders, remittances, and receipting goods
* Assist with recruitment and onboarding processes, including agency liaison and compliance checks
* Liaise with external providers (accounting, payroll, insurance) to ensure accurate and timely information flow
* Coordinate site services including cleaning, security, utilities, and testing services
* Maintain office supplies, company databases, and filing systems
* Manage calendars, meeting coordination, and correspondence
* Prepare reports, presentations, and internal documentation
* Coordinate travel, accommodation, and company events
* Maintain key registers (e.g. safety, training, site access, compliance)
* Liaise with property owners and contractors regarding site access, compliance, and maintenance
* Contribute to a safe, compliant, and well-organised workplace
About You
Essential:
* Certificate IV in Accounting & Bookkeeping (or similar)
* Minimum 2+ years' experience in accounting, procurement, or administration
* Experience using MYOB
* Strong skills in spreadsheets and business communication tools
Highly regarded:
* Certificate IV in Supply Chain Operations (Purchasing & Procurement)
* Qualifications in Occupational Health & Safety or process improvement
You are highly organised, proactive, and collaborative, with the ability to work across multiple teams while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
