Provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals recovering from eating disorders, drawing on personal experience to foster trust and empowerment.
Facilitate individual and group sessions with emotional support and practical strategies, focusing on developing healthier food relationships.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care, leveraging lived experience insights to inform treatment.
Promote consumer-led recovery, emphasizing empathy, hope, and empowerment, while using a strengths-based approach to build coping skills and self-efficacy.
Deliver peer support services, including one-on-one coaching and guidance, as well as meal support and therapeutic family meals.
Support the development of coping skills and self-efficacy through supervision and mentoring of consumer peer workers and cadets.
Draw on personal experience to inform practice, utilizing a trauma-informed and recovery-focused approach to provide person-centered care.
* Lived experience of an eating disorder and a personal recovery journey, with a thorough understanding of the unique challenges and recovery processes involved
* Experience providing peer support, particularly in the context of eating disorders, either professionally or in a volunteer capacity
