Currently, we have an excellent role available, 3 days per week with an Oncology practice, located in Box Hill. As Director of Oncology/Cancer Services Eastern Health and considered a clinical lead in oncology research, with wonderful reviews, our client is offering a great opportunity to work close to home, with parking on site. Providing support to the principal doctor and two visiting specialists.
The role is based in a private practice where you will provide the patients with care and compassion. If you consider yourself to be efficient and organised in running a private practice, possess excellent audiotyping and strong medical terminology knowledge whilst you ensure a welcoming and comfortable environment for patients and their families, we are keen to hear from you.
**Days and Hours of Work**:
Monday and Wednesday - 8 am to 5 pm
Tuesday - 8 am to 4 pm or 9 am -5 pm
**Personal Attributes and Work Experience**
- Friendly and compassionate disposition
- Highly experienced Medical Audiotypist
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology (ideally oncology)
- Excellent organisation, interpersonal and time management skills
- Previous experience in specialist rooms essential
- Must be computer savvy
**Principal Responsibilities, but not limited to**
- Front desk reception
- Meet and greet patients and families on arrival
- Answer telephones and assist with enquiries
- Dealing with and organising Telehealth consultations
- Scheduling appointments
- Retrieving results electronically
- Audiotyping of patient reports
- Patient, Health Fund, and Medicare billing - preparation of accounts, receipting, collection of payments, and end-of-day reconciliation
- Follow up on overdue accounts
- Diary management
- Maintain patient records
- Medilink software (training can be provided)
- Maintenance of waiting room, reception area, and doctor's room
