- The Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) is responsible for the statutory supervision of young people in the criminal justice system in Victoria focussing on prevention, diversion, and early intervention as the most effective and fiscally responsible ways of reducing youth crime.
- Youth justice custodial centres accommodate young people aged 10-18 years who have been remanded or sentenced by the Criminal Division of the Children's Court, and some 18-21 year olds sentenced by Adult Courts to a youth justice custodial centre
**The**opportunity**
- Ongoing, full-time position based at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct, Melbourne.
- VPS 3 role: $ 79,122 - $96,073 per year plus super.
- Organise and deliver services at Parkville Youth Justice Precinct to meet agreed corporate or program objectives, service delivery standards and timelines, specified budgetary outcomes, stakeholder expectations and young people's needs.
- Resolves local operational and service delivery problems and refers complex issues to the Assistant Manager, Business Services.
- Effectively manage office processes and oversee records management, financial information, fleet management, asset management, organising travel and accommodation, on-boarding/off-boarding of staff members and ministerial correspondence.
- Oversee day-to-day office administration services in accordance with departmental financial management guidelines, including accounts payable tasks such as purchasing, invoice processing and supplier engagement, financial reconciliation, purchasing and procurement support, and purchasing card reconciliations.
**To be successful in this role you will have knowledge of Victorian Government processes, along with experience in invoice processing, accounts payable, and systems such as Zycus and Oracle, which is desirable.**
- You will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check (WWCC) to be maintained by the employee for the period of employment.
- Current full driver's license is required as travel to other offices within the Department may be required
