**About the Molecular Imaging & Therapy Department**
Austin Health MIT Department provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and therapeutic services and operates at the Austin Hospital, and Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital. Services include PET, Nuclear Medicine, Bone Mineral Densitometry, and Radiopharmaceutical laboratories. The department also performs an extensive range of scientific research and participates in a range scientific training programs.
**About the role**
Reporting to the Operations Director Radiology & MIT, working in broader collaboration with the MIT Executive Team and other stakeholders (internal and external), the MIT Business Manager performs critical business support functions for the MIT Services. The role is responsible for business management functions including but not limited to budget administration, capital plan administration, contract administration, financial planning, activity reporting, cost centre / service management support.
**About you**
To be successful in this role you'll bring with you:
- Qualified accountant (either CA/CPA) and/or relevant tertiary qualifications in commerce, business, accounting, administration, finance or a similar area
- Demonstrated experience in financial analysis and budget management
- Ability to undertake sophisticated costing analyses, develop and maintain customised business activity reports
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and the ability to develop innovative solutions to problems
- Proficient in Information Technology including Microsoft Office Suite, Budget Administration, Procurement and Reporting Systems.
