The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and driven Legal Assistant (Secretary) to join our Melbourne Projects, Energy and Infrastructure team. This role will see you provide high level support to Partner Heidi Asten and team of senior lawyers.
Key responsibilities:
1. Planning for and delivering high quality, accurate work whilst managing deadlines and competing priorities.
2. Managing the billing process for your direct team including clients with specific billing requirements.
3. Assisting partners and lawyers with client and cost reporting requirements
4. Managing Partners internal and external appointments with appropriate meeting lead times including travel and diary management.
5. Assisting with meeting preparation and the coordination of post meeting actions.
6. Coordinating and managing a broad variety of responsibilities and deliverables.
To be successful:
You will need a passion for working collaboratively within a team, a proactive approach to delivering your work and strong attention to detail. You will also have:
7. A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legal Assistant or in administration in a corporate environment
8. Strong matter management and billing experience (Aderant Expert).
9. Strong time management and organisational skills.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills.
11. Good written and verbal communication skills with a demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
