The Royal Melbourne Hospital (RMH) part of the Parkville Precinct and is one of Australia's leading public hospitals, providing a comprehensive range of specialist medical, surgical, and mental health services, as well as rehabilitation, aged care, specialist clinics and community programs.

The Cardiology Administration Officer contributes to the provision of a friendly, professional and patient-focussed administration team in Cardiology Diagnostic Services - 2 East.

About The Role

* You will be coordinating and booking patient appointments for diagnostic tests including appropriate patient preparation and reception duties for patients and visitors.
* Opening, closing and restructuring slots and clinics for Cardiology diagnostic tests
* Running EMR reports for clinics, attendances, FTAs and forward bookings
* Proficiency in processing of accurate patient billing for diagnostic tests performed in the Department ensuring Medicare compliance for relevant activities.

Essential

About you:

* You will be a kind and caring person who prioritises the best access to care for patients and has a strong desire to support the team to do the same
* 3-5 years experience working in a hospital setting setting
* Demonstrated phone and clinic reception skills
* Strong data entry skills of excellent accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to communicate professionally with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
* MS office suite; EPIC; IPM; FMIS; Zedmed: Filemaker

Desirable

* Experience with billing packages
* Understanding of Cardiology Diagnostic environment
