About the Role:
As an Administration Officer, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the department. Your responsibilities include:
Carry out other general administrative and project duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate to the role as directed from time to time within qualifications and experience.
Coordinate meetings / appointments and preparation and management of reports Prepare general correspondence and coordinate mail outs in relation to the activities and functions of the department.
Administer all incoming calls and overflow for the Coordinators including resolving enquiries.
Assist the department in research and compilation of information in relation to the activities of the Department.
Assist in development and monitoring of day to day Department operations.
Resolve client and customer enquiries including first level technical advice.
Administer orders and payment of accounts for goods and services ordered by the department.
Maintain and register internal forms and documents on the Intranet, Website and the Document Control Register.
Contribute to a high level of achievement and continuous improvement to the Department.

About You:
Senior Secondary School Education.
Well developed word processing skills to a minimum 60 wpm.
Well developed experience in office administration skills, customer liaison and telephone skills.
Ability to effectively organise and control own workload and time to achieve specified output.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and problem solving ability.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of packages.
Previous experience in a Local Government setting is desirable
