A fantastic opportunity is available for a Medical Secretary to join our specialist practice, working across both our Camberwell and Brighton rooms. We are seeking a proactive, friendly and well-organized individual to assist us on a part time basis (3 - 4 days a week) for an immediate start. You will be based primarily in Brighton.
**The role**
You will provide secretarial support primarily to our physicians and deliver the highest level of customer service and patient care. Your days will be busy and varied, requiring effective planning, preparation and time management.
Responsibilities include:
- Welcoming patients to the clinic and registering new patients
- Answering telephone enquiries
- Scheduling patient appointments
- Generating patient accounts
- Preparing for consulting clinics
- Liaising with internal and external health professionals/services
- Distributing results and correspondence
- Medicare/DVA billing and claiming
- Electronic records management
**About you**
You will be a team player with previous administration experience and a strong customer service focus. Always a step ahead, you will enjoy assisting and exceeding the expectations of our patients, doctors and referring practitioners. You will be comfortable working both on your own and within a team. Your flexible approach, calm demeanour and exceptional time management skills will see you succeed in this fast-paced role.
Essential requirements:
- Outstanding customer service skills
- High level of computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Exceptional communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Well presented
Previous experience in medical administration and with Zedmed software will be highly regarded.
