Medical Secretary/PA to Specialist Surgeons
We are seeking a highly motivated, tech-savvy and experienced Medical Secretary/PA to join our established administration team, to provide exceptional support to two ENT Surgeons.
Start date: January **** for full handover with the incumbent PA
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am-5pm
Location: Onsite role in Richmond with one off-site session / month (Mt Waverley) – parking provided at both locations +/- an opportunity for regional travel if interested
Melbourne ENT Group is a very busy specialist practice which supports 8 Surgeons.
Your role will be to provide proactive, dedicated support to one of the practice Directors as well as a young Surgeon who has recently commenced in private practice.
This is a unique opportunity to use your experience to assist to establish and support them as their practice grows.
Your main focus though will be supporting one of our Directors.
While his practice is well-established, he actively embraces new technologies and opportunities, so it's essential that you're both interested and excited by emerging technology.
He has interests in multiple complimentary businesses, aside from his private practice, so your calendar organisational skills are paramount
Key Responsibilities
Extensive diary management and patient bookings
Providing professional and sensitive service to a wide variety of patient groups
Managing patient queries and running consulting sessions
Coordinating theatre bookings and liaising with hospitals and anaesthetists, as well as surgical billing and debt recovery as required
Preparing and processing medical documentation (referrals, reports, correspondence, consent forms, High Cost Drug forms)
Diligent and enthusiastic approach to work with high attention to detail, time management and multi-tasking ability
Ability to work collaboratively within a broader team
Proven experience as a specialist Medical Secretary/PA
Energetic and friendly disposition
Reliable and punctual work commitment
Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with patients, medical professionals, peers and stakeholders
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment, with demonstration of problem solving and initiative where appropriate
Exercise discretion, integrity and sensitivity to the needs of our patient groups
