MASC Trials is Australia and New Zealand's collaborative trials group specialising in investigator-initiated melanoma and skin cancer research.
Working with leading researchers and institutions locally and globally, the organisation develops, conducts, and publishes research and clinical trials that improve melanoma and skin cancer outcomes.
MASC Trials is a registered not-for-profit research organisation and is affiliated with Monash University.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Administrative Assistant with strong organizational skills to provide executive administrative support to the Head of Operations.
The role requires excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, strong initiative, and a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
Employment Details
Fixed Term: 6-month contract (possible extension)
Part-time: hours per fortnight
Salary: $66,768-$73, full-time equivalent per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Location: St Kilda Road, Melbourne
Flexibility: Working between home and office available
Essential Skills and Experience
Broad knowledge of senior management operations in a complex organisation
Secretarial / admin experience in Government, University or Health Sector
Ability to exercise discretion and respect confidentiality at all times
Accuracy, attention to detail, highly organised; proven ability to prioritize and manage competing deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite
Desirable
Previous experience in higher education / tertiary sector or similar complex organisation
Experience maintaining websites, newsletters and generating content
Understanding of medical terminology, particularly oncology and melanoma treatments
