The HR Administration Officer plays an important role within our People & Culture team, helping to keep day-to-day HR operations running smoothly. This is a permanent part-time position of 48 hours per fortnight, worked over three or four days per week, with exact hours to be negotiated. The role provides practical administrative support and is often the first point of contact for staff, managers, volunteers and other visitors to the department.
This position works across the full employment lifecycle, assisting with recruitment, advertising, onboarding and orientation, as well as compliance requirements and the maintenance of accurate employee records. It calls for someone who is well organised, pays close attention to detail and communicates clearly and professionally.
Working closely with colleagues across the HR team, the role supports organisational policies and compliance needs, while also contributing to improvements in our systems and processes. It suits someone who is adaptable, enjoys working in a busy environment and takes pride in supporting both staff and the wider organisation.
The role requires a professional and customer-focused approach, along with a genuine interest in HR work and in helping to foster a positive workplace culture.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills & experience:
A background in HR, Business Administration or Health Administration
Superb customer service skills with exceptional attention to detail
Experience working with a Human Resource Information Management Systems (HRIS) or similar customer/client database; MS Office and other administrative software
Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks consecutively
The ability to work well as part of a small professional team
IMPORTANT:
Some roles in the healthcare sector are required to be vaccinated annually for Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
