Recovery Support Specialist
This is a rewarding opportunity to support participants engaged in our recovery-oriented program, offering short-term residential support for people experiencing mental health challenges.
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will work alongside participants and support them to achieve their own identified goals. You will also facilitate group sessions and work with your team members to support the day-to-day operations of our Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) service environment.
This role is ideal for someone who can work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, including clinical staff and alongside team members who have lived and living experience of mental health challenges. Most importantly, you share our vision of delivering exceptional service and achieving the best possible outcomes for participants.
The PARCs operate 24/7 on a rotating roster, and penalty rates apply for afternoon and weekend hours.
About the Service
Broadmeadows Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) is a sub-acute, home-like service dedicated to providing practical mental health support in our community.
This is a holistic 24/7 program, delivered in partnership with the Area Mental Health Service, offering both clinical and psychosocial support to people who are becoming unwell, or as an additional support to strengthen their gains whilst transitioning from an inpatient setting back home.
We value cultural diversity, support, and create opportunities for recovery, value peer participation and leadership, and are underpinned by evidence-based best practice.
