Royal Eagle Security Services (RESS) is a growing technology company delivering electronic security solutions for Corporate, Government and Commercial clients. Our recently renovated office is located in Port Melbourne, in close proximity to public transport and freeway access, with plenty of street parking available. Royal Eagle Security Services (RESS) is seeking a motivated and engaged Accounts/Administration Officer to join our Accounts and Customer Service team.

This position would suit candidates looking to develop their Accounting and Business Administration skills. The role would include Accounts Payable and Receivable functions, Purchase Ordering/Stock Control and assisting with General Customer and any additional administrative duties. This is an outstanding opportunity for motivated candidates to join a reputable organisation and develop their accounting and customer service skills

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will have the following skills and experience:

* Computer literacy, including Word, Excel and Outlook;
* Experience with a computerised accounting package (MYOB) is advantageous;
* Good verbal and written communication skills;
* Professional and confident phone manner;
* Good time management;
* Flexible, reliable and proactive; and
* Attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities

The main duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

* Answering phone and deliveries
* Data entry
* Accounts Receivable – statements at month end, recording of bank receipts, collection of overdue debts;
* Accounts Payable - verification of incoming goods and reconciliation of monthly payments;
* Maintaining amenities throughout the day filing photocopier with paper, ensuring enough milk in the fridge, etc
* General housekeeping duties ( Dishwasher, answer machine)
* Maintaining office stock levels of items such as stationery, postage and first aid kits
* Booking accommodation for staff
* Other general administration duties as directed;
