Senior Relief and Recovery Officer – Grampians
The Senior Relief and Recovery Officer will work as part of Emergency Recovery Victoria's (ERV) regional coordination team, leading divisional and regional planning for relief and recovery during and after a disaster. The role is based in the Grampians region but requires flexibility to support operations across Victoria, including potential deployment on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the research, problem-solving and evolving policy around relief and recovery, collaborating with peers and stakeholders to identify and resolve emerging issues in line with statutory and governance arrangements.
Build and maintain stakeholder relationships, assisting local governments to optimise community outcomes and enhancing their understanding of relief and recovery funding protocols and processes.
Qualifications & Experience
Self-motivated, committed, and able to adapt to changing priorities; excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong communication, interpersonal and relationship-management capabilities across government, non-government and community stakeholders.
Experience in disaster relief and/or recovery, dealing with diverse community groups and multiple levels of government, is desirable.
Ability to project manage, forward plan and write plans and reports in a highly complex environment.
Full Victorian driver's licence – required for short-notice travel across metropolitan and regional Victoria.
Tertiary qualification in emergency management, community services, engagement or business management highly desirable.
