Role Overview
This position involves coordinating recovery activities across the council, ensuring effective utilization of grant funding and meeting reporting requirements. The role entails connecting council teams with state and federal recovery funding opportunities, supporting consistent data collection, and reducing the financial impact of recovery through targeted analysis and advice.
The specialist will also support community resilience initiatives, develop frameworks for data collection, and coordinate recovery efforts during emergencies.
* Hourly rate: $55.93 - $60.34 per hour, plus superannuation.
* Part-time temporary position (grant funded until June 30, 2026) (3 days a week).

Key Skills and Qualifications
* Experience in coordinating grant funding, reporting, and acquittals, preferably in disaster recovery.
* Ability to work across teams and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Experience in developing and implementing processes for consistent record keeping and project planning.
* Strong skills in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to explain complex information clearly.
* Experience in supporting or leading projects in a government or community setting.
