As the firm further builds on its success, an opportunity has now arisen for a talented legal secretary to support a high-profile Partner with significant responsibilities.
The Role
Occupying a pivotal position within a successful commercial litigation team, the successful candidate will manage key aspects of client matters for a Senior Partner and will act as a trusted liaison between the Partner, the broader team and their high-profile client base. They will be a crucial part of a pivotal team and will utilise their organisational skills, initiative, judgement, and multitasking ability to keep things moving successfully behind the scenes. The position will suit someone who enjoys working at pace, takes pride in producing polished work, and thrives in a high-expectation professional setting.
Key responsibilities include:
Providing high-level secretarial support to a senior litigation partner
Drafting, preparing and formatting court documents and correspondence
Managing diaries, meetings, travel and competing deadlines
Coordinating briefs to counsel and court filing requirements
Liaising confidently with clients, barristers, courts and stakeholders
Assisting with billing, file management and matter administration
Manage end-to-end file administration, from matter inception to close
Proactively manage lawyer schedules, including meetings with key clients
This then, will be a highly varied and multifaceted role which would best suit an individual with high levels of organisation, who can work both autonomously and as part of a high-performing team. Your Profile
The successful candidate will be an administration or legal support professional with demonstrated experience working as a legal secretary, ideally within a commercial litigation practice. To be successful you will have strong understanding of litigation processes, court timetables, and document production standards as well as exceptional attention to detail and a client-focused mindset.
In addition, you will be able to show:
Confidence in dealing directly with Senior Partners and clients
A calm, professional and highly organised demeanour
A thorough, detailed approach with exceptional standards and a pride in producing high-quality work
Comfort in working autonomously and taking responsibility for workflow and deadlines
