**Job Description**:
Reporting directly to the Human Resources Director, this role will ensure that you develop the ability to lead & execute the overall HR strategy & objectives in our Victorian business. This role will be supported by a group of HR professionals including an established Careers team. This is a true generalist role advising on all aspects of human resources including; HR policy, employee relations, management coaching and advisory, learning and development, employee engagement and retention, on-boarding and succession planning, performance management, and workplace health and safety.
This is a 6 month fixed-term part-time contract with a view to permanency.
The role will be responsible for the delivery of HR operational services & advisory including:
- Exposure to HR best practice & management of complex employee issues;
- Create relationships at a senior level. Use these relationships to understand business needs and demands to tailor HR approach;
- Proactively work with Leaders in Victoria to provide guidance and execute on employee engagement, retention & culture;
- Providing trusted advice and assisting & managing on employee relations matters;
- Delivering expert advice on management, coaching and advisory; and
- Dealing with State based workplace health & safety matters.
**Qualifications**:
- At least 3 years previous experience as a HR Advisor/Consultant ideally within a professional services organisation
- Sound knowledge of workplace legislation and HR best practice methods across engagement, WHS and performance management
- Proven partnering with senior stakeholders and executive people strategies.
- Strong employee relations experience & client focus with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously but also deliver as a collaborative member across a national team
- Highly organised to allow you to deliver daily outcomes in a fast-paced business environment
